A meeting between SEDIKEK-PEO and the Turkish Cypriot Municipality Workers Trade Union BES was held today at the central offices of PEO. The two trade union Organizations have a long history of fraternal relations and cooperation, given that they are organizations active in local government and both are members of the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU).

The class-based trade union Pancyprian Federation of Labour (PEO) expresses its support and solidarity with the Turkish Cypriot Trade Unions, who have once again taken to the streets protesting against the anti-worker machinations of the Turkish Cypriot administration.
PEO participates in the International Solidarity Campaign with the Palestinian People organized by the World Federation of Trade Unions.
The aim of the campaign is to raise money that will be used to purchase Medicines, School notebooks , Blankets and Personal Hygiene Items.
The working people of Cyprus celebrate Worker’s May Day this year too in difficult and unprecedented conditions which have been forced on it by the pandemic.

The International Labour Organization (ILO) has established April 28 as "World Day for Health and Safety at Work" with the aim of raising awareness and taking action globally to prevent accidents and occupational diseases.
The General Council of PEO convened on Monday 22nd March 2021 and discussed the situation as it is has evolved with regards labour and socio-economic issues and set out the main priorities of PEO.
