Regarding developments on the possible measures to be proposed by the Troika, PEO wishes to clarify the following:

The economic downturn, as a result of the global economic crisis, has led to job losses, rising unemployment and a drastic reduction in state revenues. In addition, the Republic of Cyprus has been intolerably burdened due to the exposure of its financial system to developments in Greece.
